Every student is responsible for his or her recorder. If it lost, the recorder needs to be replaced as soon as possible. Recorder pledge
Your recorder is a real instrument and we will use it in every music class from now until the end of the year 1. Bring your recorder and book to EVERY music class. Leave the instrument in your backpack so you will always be prepared for class. If you take it out at home to practice, make sure it goes right back in when you are done playing. 2. Practice! Every month you will be given a recorder karate quiz. If you can play the notes and rhythms in our songs, you will earn “belts”. At least 5 minutes every day will make a huge difference 3. Respect your instrument. It is your responsibility to take care of it and make sure it is not lost. 4. Clean your recorder every few weeks or when it is dirty. Run the recorder under warm water and wash it with dish soap. Let it dry on a towel but DO NOT stick a paper towel inside of it. 5. Have fun and remember anything new will take some time. Practice and if you have a problem, please let Mrs. Essig know. |
